Growing Together, Strengthening Our Community
Taitu Farm began with a simple island vision: to raise animals naturally, outdoors, and free-range, while creating locally made products that reflect the abundance and traditions of St. Thomas. What started as a small farming effort has grown into a community-centered farm offering ethically raised animals, fresh farm products, and educational experiences.
Taitu Farm is more than just a farm; it’s a community focused on enriching lives through animal care and education. Led by Ms. Montez Teferi, our farm embodies a love for nature and commitment to sustainability.
A Partnership Rooted in Mutual Benefit
Through this initiative, individuals and farming groups are invited to partner with Taitu Farm by contributing time, skills, and support in key areas such as:
-
Tilling and preparing land
-
Assisting with farm maintenance and repairs
-
Supporting general farm operations
In return, partners are able to collect and utilize the manure they help till, providing a valuable, natural resource to enrich their own farms and growing efforts.
